    Victim Advocate


    This entry level Victim Advocate position is responsible for performing duties directly related to victim assistance within the State Attorney’s Office. This position provides direct support to victims of crime through each stage of the Criminal and Juvenile Justice Systems; provides support to secondary victims and witnesses as needed; and acts as a liaison between the Assistant State Attorney and the victims/witnesses involved in criminal cases prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Director of Victim Services. This is a full time, VOCA Grant funded position and will be housed in Gainesville, Florida with a starting date of September 1, 2019.
